RICHARD MONEY

City's joint first team coach started his professional career at Scunthorpe as an 18-year-old
and went on to five other clubs before rejoining the Irons as player-coach a decade later. The
high point of his playing career was a £350,000 move from Fulham to Liverpool; he also played for
Derby, Luton and Portsmouth, where he was out for a long period with a cruciate ligament injury.
He became Aston Villa's youth team coach before returning to Scunthorpe again as manager.
Frank Clark took him to Nottingham Forest to look after the young professionals as reserve team coach
but he was also involved with the first team on match days. Early in 1997 he became Frank Clark's
first signing when he joined him as part of the Blues' backroom staff.
