Which English club's have Shaun Goater played for? |
A small warm up nut for you all as the question clearly is which clubs he played for and here only official games counts. Goater did not play any games for Manchester United although he was in their books as a youngster. A few have commented on this and that is accepted. But you need to get all the others correct as well, including his sole game on loan at Coventry ... The correct answer is: Rotherham, Notts County, Bristol City, Manchester City, Reading, Coventry City, Southend United |

Who was the 5th Captain to lift a trophy for City at Wembley Stadium? |
A little more tricky this one. The first ever trophy won by City was the FA-cup lifted by Billy Meredith in 1904, then three more FA-cup wins in 1934 (Sam Cowan), 1956 (Roy Paul), and 1969 (Tony Book), before two League-cup wins in 1970 (Book again) and then in 1976, when Mike Doyle did the honours. Now Doyley would have been the correct answer had it not been for the question stating "at Wembley". The first cup win in 1904 was actually played at the Crystal Palace, leaving Andy Morrison as the fifth City captain to raise a trophy in triumph at Wembley when City won the 2nd Division play-off final against Gillingham in 1999..... |
